The CJEU yesterday held in C-525/20 Association France Nature Environnement v Premier ministre and Ministre de la Transition écologique et solidaire. It essentially [31] ff confirmed the AG Opinion which I reviewed here. It also [39] in essence reads a standstill obligation clearly expressed in the WFD, and links this to the overall principles of environmental policy included in the Environmental Title of the Treaty.
